BTEC Level 3 Foundation Award in Electrical Engineering

As electrical engineers design, build and maintain electrical machines, and distribution equipment, we have selected 3 specific units for this  Level 3 Awardin Engineering (Electrical) that will provide you with sound knowledge of the following:

  1. (1)Health and Safety in the Engineering Workplace
  2. (31) Features and Applications of Electrical Machines
  3. (19) Selecting and Programming PLCs

Each unit is normally split into 4 sections to make studying easier via our online Moodle education platform. You will be assessed with 2 assessments that your tutor will send you on request, so there is no large end of course exam. Also remember you have 12 months of access to your tutor to take you every step of the way. Alternative units are available on request. Note, electrical installation is a practical unit and will require some materials to be purchased (under £100).

If you already have a Tecol level 3 1-unit Award, you may can upgrade to a level 3 units by completing only 2 additional units and getting registered with BTEC.  During your enrolment process, we will confirm with you your choice of units.
